■ 시놉시스
아이를 잃고 난 후의 슬픔과 절망, 공허함이 가득한 엄마의 집.
아이를 맞이하려고 준비한 동안 어느새 아이의 장난감(오르골,모빌)으로 엄마의 마음은 기쁨과 환희로 가득찼다.
엄마의 방에서 아기와 바다로 우주로여행을 시작하는데....
A mother's room which is full of sadness, despair and emptiness after a miscarriage.
While preparing to greet her baby, the mother's heart was fully filled with happiness and the room was filled with baby toys (Orgel, Mobile etc).
From the mother's room she begins her journey into sea and space with her baby.
■ 연출의도
이것은 유산에 관한 이야기이다. 유산을 한 엄마의상실감,슬픔, 자책감같은 감정들을 빈 집이라는 상징으로 표현하였다.
빈집은 아이에겐 자궁이라는 공간이고 엄마에겐 감정의 방이다. 엄마의방은 슬픔으로 채워지고 극복해가는 과정에서 비워진다. 다시찾아올 생명의 기대로 다시 채워져간다.
아이의 방 자궁은 아이에겐 무한한공간 우주,바다,놀이터가 된다. 그 곳에서 아이는 행복하게 잘 있다가 떠난다.
작품에 나오는 오르골과모빌은 아이의상실을 의미하고 또한 새로운 생명에 대한 기대를 의미하기도한다.
이 작품을 통해서 유산을 경험한 여성들에게 조금이라도 위안이되었으면좋겠다.
This is a story about miscarriage.
Emotions such as loss, sadness and guilt of a mother who had a miscarriage were expressed as an empty room. Empty room is a space of the womb for the baby and a room of emotion for the mother at the same time. Mother’s room was filled with sadness after miscarriage but is been vacated while overcoming it. And it’s getting filled again with the expectation for new life to come.
Baby’s room, Womb is endless space ( playground, sea and the universe ) for the baby.
Baby left it after enjoying and playing it happily.
Orgel and mobile in this animation mean the loss of a baby but also the expectation of a new life to come.
I hope this work would give little comfort to women who got miscarriage.

천지를 창조한 신의 손을 통해 우수의 생성과 자연의 아름다움을 시각화 한 ‘신의 손, 천지창조’와 순교자의 삶과 전동성당의 역사를 통해
평화의 이미를 형상화 한 ‘인간과 평화’, 전동성당의 건축미를 미디어아트로 재해석한 미디어 쇼인 ‘빛의 향연’ 등 총 3부로 구성된 작품이다.

Grandmother' s Train Journey
이 작품은 삶은 계란을 유독 싫어하시는 나의 할머니의 이야기로, Paint on glass 기법과 Photo Collage을 결합 시킨 애니메이션이다. 한국전쟁 당시 할머니의 실제 경험을 바탕으로 만들어진 작품으로 한국전쟁이 끝난 지금까지도 한국전쟁에서 경험한 트라우마의 효과가 할머니의 인생에 영향을 미치고 있음을 보여준다. 삶은 계란이라는 매개체를 이용, 과거와 현재에 걸쳐 할머니 기억의 여행이 시작된다. 2010년 London Design Festival KINGSTON MA SHOW에서 상영되었다.
The story is about an old lady who has grown to dislike the boiled egg due to a painful memory about the Korean War.
The story unfolds with a train journey of the old lady and her grandson in the present day. The little boy excited about the journey has brought with him some snacks, including boiled eggs, to have in the train. He hands a boiled egg to his grandmother and she refuses it. This boiled egg takes the story to the past when the Korean War was happening. The past memory of the old lady is portrayed through the eyes of her as a young girl and shows how she has grown to dislike the boiled egg for the rest of her life. At the end of the film, the story returns to the present day of Korea, which is developing so fast and does not seem to have any scars and wounds from the war any more.
